Science Communication for Environmental Advocates

The Climate Justice Education for Underserved Communities project aims to empower leaders and professionals in disadvantaged urban and rural areas to advocate effectively for climate justice. By providing in-depth training on the impacts of climate change and strategies for mitigation, the program prepares participants to engage their communities in informed decision-making. Selected for their influence and respect within their fields, these leaders will learn to represent local conditions, develop actionable plans to combat climate impacts, and educate others on how to adapt to or reduce these effects. This initiative addresses the intersection of environmental justice and climate change, ensuring that communities most vulnerable to these challenges can advocate for equitable solutions. Participants in the project attend a workshop and complete a digital course.
